A HAT HINT.
Have you just pulled out your last summer’s hat hoping that you will be able to wear it again this year, and did you And that, although still a perfectly good shape, it looked very dull and sad? Weil, you can freshen up a straw hat wonderfully with a little ordinary gum arabic. Buy about three pennyworth at the chemist’s —you will have to take a bottle for it —and also buy at the same time a small camel-hair brush. Paint the gum arabic over the hat evenly, and when it is dry you will be surprised at the improvement. You can keep your hair in wave by adding about a teaspoonful to a tumbler of boiling water and waiting till it cools, apd then damping your hair with it before you wave it.
