THANKS.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —I shall be thankful if you will allow me to express my very deep gratitude to those who have so generously responded to my appeal for clothes for four poor Maori families. I had the great satisfaction of handing over to them a carload of well-filled parcels of clothes; and I have also received sums of money and an offer of employment. The Maoris concerned are very appreciative of this generous help and wish me to express their thanks. —I am, etc., E. M. COWIE, Archdeacon. (Superintendent Maori Mission for Waikato Archdeaconry.) August 28, 1928.
