HOPU HOPU CAMP.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTION COURSE. FOR NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS (Special to Time?',. NGAR UA W A HIA .Wednesday. The instruction camp for noncommissioned officers of non-secondary school units in Auckland and the surrounding districts opened at Ngaruawahia to-day, under the. command of Major 11. G. Glondining, N.Z.S.C. The course provides for special training in infantry, musketry, and physical drill, and will be of a week's duration. In the past these instruction camps for officers and non-commissioned officers of artisan units have been held at Narrow Neck, Auckland, and the occasion is unique in that this is the first occasion that, a similar camp has been held at Jfopu llopu. This is a striking testimony to the rapid advance made in the progress of the camp in the last few years. Six officers and over 100 non-com-missioned officers are participating. The position of adjutant is filled by Captain 11. M. Foster, N.Z.S.C., while Sta ff- S erg enni.- Maj or N. A. Sineal is Gamp Sergeant-Major.
