WEDDING.
JONES—JOHNSON. A very popular wedding was celebrated by Rev. S. Henderson at the Te Aroha Methodist Church on Thursday, August IG, when Agnep Winifred, only daughter of Mr and Mrs David Johnson, of Springdale, was married to Hugh Cavanagh, son of Mrs Jones, of Hamilton. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty frock of ivory georgette over soft white satin, and trimmed with line silver lace and orange blossom. She carried a lovely bouquet of spring flowers.
Miss Bessie Waterhouse, of Papakura, and Miss Gladys Jones, of Hamilton, attended as bridesmaids, tho former wearing blush pink georgetto and the latter apple-green georgette. Both carried pretty bouquets of spring flowers.
Mr Percy Jones was best man and Mr Albert North groomsman. The church had been artistically decorated by the many friends of the bride, and the wedding marked the 21st wedding anniversary of the bride’s parents. About 100 guests were entertained at the reception after the ceremony.
