THEFT OF MONEY.
m THEATRE MANAGER CHARGED. ADMITTED TO PROBATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.) \< I PALMERSTON NORTH, Monday. Appearing before Mr Stout, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court this morning - Enoch Fllntoff, formerly manager of , the De Luxe Theatre, was charged with the theft of £lO 18s, the property of Frederick Jackson,. managing director of the theatre enterprises. Accused pleaded guilty and elected to be dealt with summarily. The police stated that accused re- , . ceived the sum stated and had given a ',,'■ receipt but there was no record of the oioney in the books. Accused expressed his willingness ' ' to make restitution. Taking into consideration the fact that nothing was known against accused previously, the magistrate admitted him to probation for two years, on : condition that he repaid the money within three months.
