MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
SITTING AT RAGLAN. A CASE DISMISSED." (Special to Times.) RAGLAN, Monday. At the Raglan Magistrate's Court, on Friday, before Mr F. W. Platts, S.M., the case Edgar Roscoe v. Keha Newton was dismissed owing to there being no appearance of the informant. The defendant was allowed 10s costs. Wilful Damage. Isaac Inoka was charged that on June 2 he' did wilfully commit mischief by breaking a pane of glass in the door of William Graham's motor car, and thereby damage to the extent of 25s was done t'o the car. Evidence was given by the owner of the car, and by T. Park. The latter saidhe was sitting in the car, which was stationary, in Bow Street, when defendant aimed a blow at him, and thus broke the window. Defendant said he did not remember anything about it, as he was drunk. He was fined 10s, with costs 245, and damages 255. He was allowed one month in which to pay. Sheep Worrying. V. E. Pegler claimed £-1 5s 3d from J. B. Somerset for loss sustained owing to defendant's dog worrying sheep, the properly of plaintiff. Evidence was given by plaintiff, also by W. McLean and C. J. D. Grey. The latter said he had seen a dog which he identified as belonging to defendant in the act of worrying the lambs in February. No evidence was given for the defence. Judgment was given for the amount claimed, witli costs £3_-is Od.
