FREIGHT FOR APPLES.
SHIPPING COMPANIES' OFFER. FOR 1929 SEASON. LONDON, July 2G. Mr Stephens, representing the New Zealand Fruit Board, has held a conference with representatives of the New Zealand shipping companies, and obtained a promise for the 1929 season, alternatively, of three steamers with a capacity for 20,000 cases of apples apiece direct shipment for Rotterdam or Hamburg, or two vessels of 25,000 tons apiece. It is expected the Rotterdam steamers will carry the usual shipment of honey.
