Less Sickness. - The wave of sickness that has been sweeping the district seems at last to have spent itself, although colds are still very prevalent.
It is gratifying to learn that Mr Fred Bell, who has been in hospital, seriously ill, has returned to his home, and is slowly recuperating. Mrs P. Plewman is convalescent after a severe attack of rheumatic fever. Cricket Ciub. V Several new players have joined the Cricket Club, and prospects for a successful season are very bright. The club Is already promoting a dance for the purpose of augmenting its funds. Many Calves Appearing. New calves are appearing daily and calfskin buyers and live-calf buyers are being kept busy. Several cases of twin calves are brought to our notice.
