Undergraduates pirouette as Girls. Undergraduates of Trinity College, Cambridge, England, recently produced what is claimed to be the first ballet presented in Cambridge, and girls' parts were taken by'men. In the Great Hall they appeared on the stage in gay costumes, and pranced, whirled and turned to music written by an 'undergraduate, Mr Richmond Dabell. The large audience, consisting of friends and relations up for May Week, applauded in a mixture of amusement and admiration. The ballet was composed and produced by Mr Kci Kurosawa, a Japanese aged 21, who played the leading parts. Actresses Announce Engagement. The engagement has been announced in Melbourne of Miss Lorna Helms, the young Australian actress, who is appearing in "The Girl Friend," to Squadron-Leader Thompson, D.F.C., K.A.I' 1 . Miss Helms is a daughter of Ihe late Captain Helms and Mrs P. T. Helms, of Sydney. The marriage will take place in about six months, when .Miss Helms will retire from Hie stage. Mdlle. Alice Delysia, the actress, is to marry M. George Denis, the director of a Paris newspaper. Mdllo. Delysia will act in London shortly in her first non-musical play, "Her Cardboard Lover." Dotysia's Fianco. Great interest has been shown in sporting and theatrical circles in the betrothal of Mile. Alice Delysia, the actress. M. Denis, her fiance, who is director of the newspaper Intransigeant, said: "I have known Mile. Delysia for some time, and we have been great pals. The 'wedding will take place at Villen-euve-sur-Lot, a pretty place of which she is very fond. We want it to be a quiet affair." M. Denis is a prominent Rugby football player and has played many times for the Rugby Club de France. He is also a good amateur boxer and sprinter. He was born in Montmartre,
