Mr Walter Monk, representing J. G. Williamson, Ltd., was in Hamilton today.

Mr G. Eger ton Lowe, F.T.C.L., examiner lo the Trinity College of Music, London, lias been spending a few days in Hamilton. He left to-day for Pearoa.

The Rev. W. Saunders, after 38 years’ service as minister of the Moray Place Congregational Church, Dunedin, has retired. Members and friends of the church met Mr and Mrs Saunders at tea, and later a public farewell meeting was held, many tributes being paid to the retiring minister’s work in the church and in the community as a whole-
