THOSE IN THE FRONT. By winning two races at Wanganui, R. Reed brought his total of first placings this season to 64. T. Green still holds the lead with 68. A. E.'Ellis, who, as everyone will be pleased to hoar, is recovering from his recent accident, has 61 firsts to his credit. G. W. New led in one winner (Desert Lad) at Wanganui, and Is head of the trainers' list with 35 wins, J. T. Jamieson Is second with 30 and C. Glesler third with 28.
