GIRLS' GUIDE CORNER

Deer Guides, — Well, here n the beginning of our Corner, an dwe feel that to-day it is very much of a B«by, because there is to much yet that Peter Pan has to learn about all the companies in the Waikato towns thai our Page goes to, before we make it really big. Never mind, everything has to start some, time, and it it much more fun to start in the baby stage and to grow up bit by bit, as you all become interested and sen** . your little articles of news and about your doings. Peter Pan hopes that you will all help to make it grow and make yet another interest for the readers of our Page. PETER PAN. St. Peter's Company (Hamilton) are very sorry that they are losing their captain (Mrs R. Seddon), who leaves soon for Otago. The committee gave a very enjoyable farewell afternoon for her on May 18, and Church Parade was held on Sunday at the Cathedral.

Phyllis Turner (Frankton) writes of the happy time she had during the Rally, when a visiting Guide from Morrinsville stayed with her. They loved fhc entertainment on Saturday evening and were very sorry when Monday morning arrived, with all festivities over.

The Girl Guide Rally was the first attempted on a large scale in this district, and Guides were present from many parts of South Auckland, companies having arrived from Cambridge, Ngaruawahia, Paeroa, Morrinsville, Matamata, Te Awamutu, and Te Kuiti, where they were joined by the three local companies—Claudelands, St. Peter's, and Frankton.

The King Country Chronicle compliments the Te Kuiti Guides on the fine display of the uses of the pole. It states that "the audience marvelled al what really useful purposes can fce accomplished with shafts of wood."

Since the big Rally several new members have joined the Claudelands ani St. Peter's companies. The Guides arc very glad to have their number grow, and are hoping for many more new members.
