WEDDING.

WANHILL— HENDERSON j$A pretty wedding took place at the Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 22 afc ; two in the afternoon, when Mavis Leone, second daughter of Mr and Airs Alfred Henderson of Ulster Street Whitiora was married to John Fredrick McLaren Wanhill, second son of Mr and Mrs Wanhill of Muswell Hill, London. Pastor R. G. Bycroft performed the ceremony . The bride who was gtven away by her father, entered the church as the congregation sang the bridal hymn. Her frock was of ivory crape de chine and georgette, beautifully trimmed with silver lace, and she wore a long silver embroided tulle veil and circlet of orange blossom. Lovely white crysathemums ,roses and maidenhair formed her bouquet which was held with satin streamers. ,'Miss Ena Henderson and Miss Eva Henderson, sisters of the bride, attended her as bridesmaids and wore charming frocks of mauve georgette and briar rose pink georgette, both trimmed with shaded oriental lace, while their bouquets of chrysanthemums and roses toned to mutch their frocks. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr 0. Wanhill as best man, and by Mr 11. A. Henderson, brother of the bride, as groomsman. As the wedding party left the church, the wedding march was beautifully rendered by Mrs Lonsdale who had presided at the organ during the service. The church had been artistically decorated by the' many friends of the bride with large bowls of Autumn flowers, adding a very pretty effect to the scene. Mrs Henderson, wearing an'electric blue ensemble with fox fur and small hat to tone,received many guests at Centreway, where the reception jvas held, the bride and groom being /seated beneath a beautifully decorated \veddlng bell. The bride left for the honeymoon, which will be spent motoring through the Wellington- and Taranaki districts, wearing a chic nut brown tailored suit, with hat touched with gold. The presents, were numerous and included several cheques. Mr and Mrs Wanhill will make their future home in Tubikaramea.
