PLUNKET BALL.

JOLLY SUCCESS AT OHAUPOb The Ohaupo Memorial Hall presented a gay scene on Wednesday evening last, when the local sub-branch of the Plunket Society held its third annual ball. A trellis work of blue and gold streamers hung across the ceiling and was massed gracefully into a large suspended centre-piece. The stage was decorated with flowers and greenery, and the whole effect was delightful. Hildreth's orchestra supplied the music, and Messrs.. O'Connor and Smillie acted as M's.C. In the supper room the walls were hung with, streamers and autumn foliage, and the tables decorated with chrysanthemums, autumn leaves and trails ot sniilax.
