THE RECENT CIRCULAR
ATTITUDE OF RETAILERS
Different retailers in Hamilton received a circular letter from a body styling itself the Public Service Discount Association, claiming to have 500 members, asking what concessions they are prepared to allow members of the' Association in consideration for their business.
The. Retailers' Association took the matter up, and after full discussion in committee, the following resolution was unanimously carried: —
That this meeting of the Hamilton Retail'Traders' Association cannot affirm the principle of extending a preference to any one section of the community at the expense of the remainder, arid accordingly cannot accede to the request of the Public Service Discount Association.
