IN BRITISH SCHOOLS. NOT UP-TO-DATE. QUESTION IN PARLIAMENT. (Australian Press Assn—United Service.) LONDON, May 24. In the House of Commons, Dr. H. R. Haslam, (Conservative, Horncastle, Lincolnshire). asked the President of the Board of Education if he was aware that some text books on the Dominions used in the schools are not up-to-date and whether he would consider a calling of a conference of educational authorities with a view to securing improvements. Lord Eustace Percy replied that the Board and Consultation Committee was investigating the question. He thought it better to await the Committee’s report, which he expected would be available in the autumn, before considering what action to take.
