’FRISCO TO BRISBANE.
CAPTAIN SMITH’S FLIGHT. TO LEAVE ON JUNE 1, CREW TO CONSIST OF FOUR. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) (Received May 25, 9.15 a.m.) ! New York, May 24. A message from Los Angeles says it is now learned that Captain Kingsford Smith hopes to commence his flight to Australia on June 1. He at present plans to leave for Mills Field tomorrow, accompanied by Mr Ulm, and there .his instruments will be adjusted and final preparations made. Capital Smith declared that the crew would be composed of himself and Ulm as pilots, 'Captain Harry Lyon (of Maine) as navigator, and Mr James Warner (of Kansas City) as radio operator. Upon arrival at Honolulu the airmen will spend a day or two resting, and then proceed to the Fiji Islands, where Captain Lyon and Mr Warner will leave the ’plane, Captain Smith and Mr Ulm continuing alone to Brisbane, according to present plans.
