WILKINS AND EIELSON. GREAT RECEPTION AT OSLO. CAPTAIN AMUNDSEN’S TRIBUTE. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian Press Assn. —United Service.) (Rec. May 25, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, May 24. • Oslo triumphantly received Captain Wilkins and Lieut. Eielson, the arctic explorers on their arrival from Bergen. The president of the Norwegian Geographical Society headed the welcoming delegation, and crowds cheered the explorers en route to the Grand Hotel, where Royal suites were placed at their disposal. They were then motored to the' home of Captain Amundsen, who held a special reception. The American Minister lunched with tiie airmen. There was a gala in the city and a banquet in the evening when Captain Amundsen, president of the newlyfounded Norwegian aero club, decorated the airmen with the club’s gold medal, saying that they had covered more unknown territory than any other airmen. Captain Wilkins and Lieut. Eielson appropriately responded.
