FRUITGROWERS’ SELF-HELP. CREATING RESERVE FUND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, Thursday. The Fruitgrowers’ Provincial Conference to-day resolved to support a proposal to create a central fund for the purpose of protecting tiie Government guarantee, sucli fund to be created by the hoard collecting a maximum levy of 3d per case and, after paying ordinary expenses, transferring the balance of each year’s levy to such central fund. Provision is to be made whereby, in the event of the fund reaching a sufficient sum, tiie yearly contributions will be refunded, commencing with the first year’s contributions, to the shippers in proportion of lhc individual contributions made.
