PHOSGENE GAS.
STORED IN NEW JERSEY. ADEQUATE PRECAUTIONS TAKEN. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) (Received May 24, 9.10 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 23. A supply of the deadly phosgene gas, which caused twelve deaths in Hamburg, is stored in an isolated building at Fords, New Jersey. It is allegedly used in the manufacture of fin.e medicinal chemicals. The firm owning the plant state that tiie greatest precautions are taken lo prevent an escape of the gas, and also to protect the health of employees.
