SHIPWRECK RELIEF.

FUNDS IN HAND £13,000. NO RECENT DISASTERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Tuesday. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Shipwreck Relief Society the accumulated funds were announced as £13,003, and the year's surplus as £IOO7. The Union Company's'contribution to the funds was £473. The president, Sir William Sim, commented on the happy fact thai there had been no disasters for many years. This had enabled a large fund to be built up. Only £63 had been paid out during the year. in response to an appeal from Captain Attwood for help for-a fisherman, Who lost his boat in a gale, £lO was voted.
