ALFALFA JERSEYS.

YESTERDAY'S SALE. OF BULLS AND HEIFERS. i . * The following lots were sold aftefr " we went to press yesterday, at Mr F. J. Saxby's sale of his Alfalfa Jersey cattle. Mr Saxby had every reason to be satisfied with the result achieved and the large attendance of breeders, which bore testimony to his standing in the Jersey world. The 48 heifers to fall under the hammer realised an average of 63gns., the higest price being that of 165 gns., paid by R. E. Robertstein, of Rukuhia, for Holly Oak Darling, a promising heifer from an ideal cow which produced 725,.731b of fat. The purchaser of this animal was fortunate in being able to secure such a fine producing type. Three other heifers averaged over a hundred guineas. The 26 bulls sold brought in 'the highly satisfactory average of over 33 gns. The highest figure was that paid for Zither of Dilkusc, 46gns. A number of these bulls were offered on behalf of breeders who had purchased previous Alfalfa offerings. Holly Oak Darling (Hawkesbury Majestic Bob —Dulciphone), June 28, 1926 —R. E.
