THE CAMBRIDGE UNION. MANAGEMENT MEETING. A meeting of the local Rugby Union Management Committee was held on Monday night wben there were present: Messrs T. Gray (president), A. E. Harris, A. Montgomery, F. Windsor, J. Bourke, H. Giibis, J. Keeley, A. Lynds, T. Dagg, J. Wallfs, T. Hodgson, and the secretary (V. G. Bout ton j. Caustic comment. The secretary presented a statement of the gate takings on Saturday last, and in comment the president referred to the mean spirit of citizens who took advantage of the fact that the hedge had been taken away- from Victoria. A protest was received from the Tauwhare Club complaining at the late starting of the Tauwhare-Hautapu match last Saturday "and to the shortness of time played. Mr Hodgson said the Union would have to take a-stand on this matter. It was not fair to the teams or to the public. A report was received from the referee, R. H. Vause, while the delegates also explained 'the reasons for the delay. Mr Cubis (Hautapu) said that the delay could not be avoided. They were trying right up to the last minute to fill both their engagements, but with a shortage of players, they had had to default to Tauwhare juniors and use their junior players to fill up the senior team. It was decided to advise Tauwhare along the lines of the explanations, no action against Hautapu being taken.

Ordered Off. In his report the referee of the Leamington-City match reported that he had to order off. N.. Morse, of Leamington, for charging and tripping. He could not .understand the player's action, as he was knewn as a clean, honest player, who 'had never been warned before. There was some illreeling during the game. The incident was explained by delegates, and it was unanimously resolved to support the recommendation of the referee that no further action be taken, and that Morse be not stood down at all. Hautapu Juniors Disband. The Hautapu delegates reported that it was impossible for them to carrv on senior and junior teams. Thev had not the players. They felt that" the Union would prefer for them to fill up their seniors with junior players and withdraw the junior team. , After discussion the withdrawal oi the junior team was allowed. -It was further decided that any playing members not. required by Hautapu be allowed to play for any club they choose; provided their applications for transfers are in by next Saturday.

The Fixtures. •The fixtures for next Saturday are as follows: — Seniors.— City v. Tauwhare, at Tauwhare, at 2.45 p.m. Referee, Mr W Webber. Hautapu v. Leamington, Victoria Square, at 2.45 p.m. Referee, Mr H. Vause. .' . Juniors.—Tauwhare v. Kaipaki, ai Square, at 1.30 p.m. Referee, Mr L. Fisher. City v. Leamington, at Leamington, 1.30 p.m. Heleree, Mr A. R. Thomas. Third Grade.—The third grade competition will commence on Saturday next with four teams. The draw is as follows: High School v. City, a; High School Ground, 1.45 p.m. Referee Mr J. Bourke. Kaipaki v. Leamington, at Kaiipaki, 2. 15 p.m. Referee, Mr J. K. Daisley. Insurance.
