THE CORNWALL HANDICAP.
MASTER DOOM'S MISSION. The fact that he has been struck out of jumping engagements, gives support to the view that the. mission of Master Doon at the Auckland meeting will be the Cornwall Handicap. Twelve months ago Master Doon finished third to Lomlnt and Llandudno in this event, the margin being a head and three lengths. Master Doon won the York Handicap on the third day of the same fixture. Although everything has not been right with Master Doon's respiratory organs his latest efforts on the tracks give support to the opinion that there is an improvement In this direction. The fact that the Lucullus—Lassie Doon gelding has more than once proved capable under winter galloping conditions will not be lest sight of by some Investors at anyrate when weighing the prospects for the race on June 2 at Ellerslio.
