KEEPING FLIES AWAY. NO FINE ASKED FOR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Monday. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day the Kiwi Bacon Co., charged with having sold bacon containing boric acid, was ordered to pay costs. Counsel lor defendants stated that the boric acid was used only for the purpose of dusting to keep off Hies. Some apparcntlv worked its way into the bacon. Counsel for the Health Authorities did not ask for a fine, staling that lhe Department was going into the question of 'altering the regulations.
