FAREWELL AFTERNOON.

TO GUIDE CAPTAIN. A farewell afternoon was held at the Lyceum Club on Friday afternoon last, when the three Hamilton Girl Guide Companies entertained Mrs Seddon, late Capit.u of the St. Peter's Company, who leaves for Lumsden, Otago, shortly. Mrs H. Valder, in a few words, expressed the regret of all present at Mrs Seddon's departure, and spoke in high praise of the great work she had done for the Guide movement in Hamilton.

Mrs Hugh Douglas then asked Mrs Seddon to accept a handsome leather purse bag as. a token of their appreciation.

Mrs Seddon, who wore a smartly tailored fawn coat and small jade hat, replied, and wished the company every success in the future, urging the committees to give all' the support possible to the Guides.
