A shocking discovery was made by a man as he was passing a general stoi'e kept by a Chinese, Young K'ee, at Silkwood, near Innisfail. The passer-by noticed that one of Ihe'rooms was in disorder. He investigated and found the mutilated bodies of Young Kee and his son, Willie Cheong, aged 13.

Roth the deceased Chinamen were lying in a litter of wrecked furniture, which indicated that a violent struggle had been made for their lives. The police will have a difficult task in tracing the murderer as heavy rain has obliterated all tracks in the, vicinity of the store.
