OBITUARY.

MRS ELLEN BROWNE. An old resident of Auckland, Mrs EUen Browne, widow of the late Mr George E. Browne, died on Saturday. Mrs Browne arrived in Auckland in May. 1871. She was a daughter of Mi' Henry Rogers, ot \\ oodsidc Farm, llautapu. Mrs Browne is survived by u son, Mr L. 11. Browne, and two daughters. Mrs Frank Haynes and Miss Nellie Browne. MR ALFRED SISAIfI. '[’lie death of Mr Alfred John Sisam. aged 8 1, occurred at his residence. Mount Eden, on Saturday. Mr Sisam came to Auckland in September, 18(12, by the Matilda Wattcnbach, being one of the Albertland settlers. His wife predeceased him some years ago. Mr Sisam leaves a family of three sons and four daughters. One son. Mr Kenneth Sisam, gained a Rhodes scholarship, and the other two. Messrs L. and \V. Sisam, are farming at Whakatanc. The daughters are Mrs J. G. Lamont,: Mrs E. 0. Von Sturmer and Miss E. M. Sisam, of Auckland, and Mrs \Y. P. Brqwne, of Whakatanc
