DAYLIGHT SAVING.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Some time ago the people of Waikato were vociferously denouncing daylight saving and declaring that it was an abomination ar:d a check on production. With these declarations I am in accord, and therefore 1 desire to raise a note of warning. For some months past the opponents of the measure have been silent, and the noise they raised is being forgotten; but there arc influences operating, secretly and silently, to Influence legislators to support the rc-enactmoiil, of the measure, and if the opponents of the proposal are not alert and do not. continue to actively prosecute their protest they will assuredly again find themselves labouring under last summer's disabilities. A word to the wise is sufficient. —I am, etc., WAKEFUL.
