MEAT PRICES.
RISE AT AUCKLAND.
WAIKATO NOT AFFECTED
Dearer meat prices, which will obtain in Auckland on Monday, will be confined to (he. Auckland district and will not affect the Waikato.
Owing to the increased prices of fat cattle and pigs at West field, the Auckland Master Butchers' Association has been obliged to raise, retail meat prices in sympathy. Mutton and veal, however, will remain at late rates.
Interviewed this morning the. secretary of the. local Butchers' Association stated that no such move, was contemplated here, as there was no fallinc-off in the yarding of cattle or in the quality of cattle yarded at Horotiu.
