GUILTY OF THFFT.
STOREMAN SENT\ TO PRISON. NOT A CASE FOR PROBATIONWELLINGTON, Friday. Driver, the, storeman who pleaded guilty yesterday to theft, of goods from Derbyshires, Ltd., and obtaining money by false pretences, was sentenced to four months' imprisonment, on each charge to-day, the. sentences to be concurrent. Mr Page, said the probation officer in his report did not. recommend probation, and he had come to the. conclusion that he was not able to grant it.
