OBITUARY.
MR J. B. CALLAN. DUNEDIN, Friday. The death of Mr John Bartholomew Callan. senior to-day has removed one of Ihe older generation id' legal practitioners in Dunedin. In 1907 he was appointed to Ihe Legislative Council, where he sat until tf)l4. For some years he was a member of Ihe Dunedin Licensing Committee. He had also been president of the Otago District Law Society. AUCKLAND, Saturday. The deaths are announced of Mr George Potter, of One Tree Hill, at Ihe age of 8-i : Mr Waiter Carney, aged 67; Mr James Walker, of llowick, aged 65 years.
