ANNUAL MEETING. TO-DAY'S RESULTS. GOLD DIAL WINS THE CUP. (Special to Times.) TE AROHA, Saturday. The weather was fine but overcast /or the annual meeting of the Te Aroha Trotting Club, held here to-day. There were a few light showers in the morning, but were not serious enough to affect the course. There was a good attendance of the public from all parts of-the province. Following are the results: —

Beauty Spot was favourite with £252 from Rosie Thorpe (£238) and Great Eyre (£161). Jasper and Kilty did not go away correctly, while Golden Park and Regret collided after going a furlong, and took no further part in "the race. Zealous was quick to And her feet, and showed the way out of the straight to Carnui, Vanity Boy, Lord Haldane, Beauty Spot and Great Eyre, the latter having lost a good position through meeting with some interference. Zealous was still In charge along the ba-ck, with Vanity Boy, Lord Ilaldane, Carnui, and Beauty Spot the closest of the others. As they came into the straight Zealous was still the pilot from Lord Ilaldane, Bell Dial and Margaret Wallace. Zealous won nicely by a length from Lord Ilaldane, with the back marker, Bell Dial, four lengths away third. Margaret Wallace was fourth, and then came Great Ballin, Marosa, and Vanity Boy. The Claudelands-trained candidate Carwood soon took charge showing the way out of the straight to Lena Ansel, Peter Brown, Lackiewood, Peter Tracy and Billy Carbine. Going along the back Carwood was fifteen lengths in front of Lackiewood, with Lena Ansel in third place, half a dozen lengths further back. Then came Peter Brown, Billy Carbine and Peter Tracy. Carwood increased his advantage, but about half a mile from home, when about 60 yards in front of his nearest attendant, broke, and refused to settle down again. Lackiewood was the first into the straight from Billy Carbine, Peter Brown and Lena Ansel. In a good finish the back-marker Lackiewood got the verdict by a neck from Billy Carbine, who was three lengths in front of Peter Brown, Gold Star was finishing fast in fourth place, with Lena Ansel, Peter Tracy, Golden Downs, Lilydale and Salesman in that order. Times: 3.47 1-5, 3.48 2-5, and 3.57 3-5.

Sebisca was early leader from Ghilde Audubon, Admiral Lock, Speed King, and Boston Chimes. . Before they had gone a mile Andover was in front and showed the way out of the back the last time to Sebisca, Boston Chimes, Admiral Lock, Marionette, Speed King, and Gold Sound. The latter broke after leaving the straight. Andover was first to turn for home, with Sebisca, Admiral Lock, Boston Chimes, and Marionette the nearest of the others. Andover won nicely by a neck from Sebisca, with Admiral Lock two and a half lengths away third. Boston Chimes was fourth, and then came Childe Audubon, Marionette, and Gold Sound.
