THE WEATHER.
The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions are kindly supplied by Mr Jaa. Bremner: Barometer Saturday .... 29.80 Thermometer. Max. Min. Friday • 69 57. Barometer, 29.80. having fallen suddenly since last reading. A rising tendency may be expected to follow. Indications are for generally fair weather with probably an occasional shower, winds west to south. Yesterday was generally fair, the early part of the day’ later becoming stormy, 0.10 inches of rain fell, winds becoming brisk from west. Mean temperature, 60 degrees. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day are for southerly moderate to strong .winds, decreasing gradually. The weather will probably be cool and changeable, with scattered showers, but improving. Some frosts tonight. Barometer rising.
