MATANGI.
Anglloan Church. With the approach of the winter season the members of the Anglican Church have resumed their social activities with the object of adding to the Church Building Fund. Last week a very enjoyable card evening was held in the hall. Novel competitions also provided a pleasant pastime, and at the close an acceptable supper was passed around. Sunday School Picnic. The Sunday School picnic, tihe first for several years, which was held last Saturday in the picturesque grounds of Mrs Oliver's residence, proved a happy day for scholars and parents. The races and games were entered into whole-heartedly by the children, who thoroughly enjoyed the treat. The thanks of the parents are due to the superintendent, Mr Bryant, and his band of teachers, who spared no efforts to'give the pupils an enjoyable time. Prior to leaving for home Mr Bryant thanked Mrs Oliver for the use of her beautiful ground.
