EVIDENCE OF ENTHUSIASM. • MONEY TOWARDS A GROUND. As indicative of ttic enttiusiasm of players and enthusiasts in the game ’ of polo, it was stated by the President ; of the Auckland Provincial Associaj tion, and the Matangi Club (Mr A. Miller), when handing over the Cups yesterday at the tournament, that £IOO had already been subscribed towards the purchase of the ground on ; which this week’s tournament was , played. ; The fixture just concluded, which ; was visited by teams from Hawke’s > Bay and Feildiug, will do much towards increasing the interest in polo in this part of the Dominion.
