NOT FOR PUBLIC GOOD.
In England a move is likely to be made for revision of existing betting laws, many of which are oomplioated and antiquated. However, as the proposed Bill purposes to permit cash betting in shops, it Is doubtful whether it will be favourably received. Start-ing-price betting is tremendous In England at present; but, though It Is said on© object of the BUI is to provide “equal opportunities for the working man to be allowed to bet as fairly as tho wealthy public,” the working man may not appreciate betting facilities being made easier for women and children. Ireland Is kicking over tho same thing.
