N.Z. FARMERS’ UNION.
[YIORRSNSVILLE BRANCH. A -well-attended meeting of the MorrihsvilJe branch of the Farmers laron was addressed by Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., on Saturday evening on the principal features of the Rural Intermediate Credit Act which recently became law. Mp J. Allen presided. Mr Samuel’s explanation of the Act was lucid aid informative and was listened to with keen interest.
Several questions were asked as to the possibility ,of amending the Act, so as to give greater power to dairy companies. Mr Samuel was heartily thanked for his interesting address. *
