WEDDINGS.

TAYLOR— HAWKINS. A very pretty but quiet wedding took place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Claudelands, when Miss Ethel Marion Hawkins, eldest daughter of Mr John C. Hawkins, of Hamilton, was united in holy matrimony to Mr Percy 11. Taylor, son of Mr J. Taylor, of Feilding. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, and looked charming in a pretty dress of ivory crepe de chine, trimmed with panels of silver tissue lace, with a coronet of orange blossoms and a beautiful hand-embroid-ered tulle veil. She carried a beautiful white shower bouquet. The bridesmaid, Miss Mary Allwood of Cambridge, was prettily attired in a powder blue crepe de chine dress, trimmed with primrose knife pleating, and wore a hat to match. She carried a shower bouquet of primrose and violets.

After the wedding the guests were entertained io a dainty breakfast at the Ilacrcmai tea robins. After the usual toasts the happy couple left by train for a trip to the South.

FINDLAY—PAR&. A pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Matthew's Church. Morrinsville, on Thursday, when Mr John Robert Findlay, son of Mr and Mrs 1. Findlay, of Tuuhei, was married to Miss Elizabeth Grace Park, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Park, of Tauhei. The bride and bridegroom, being well known and very popular in the Tauhei district, there was a large attendance. The church had been prettily decorated. Rev. Canon Kempthorne officiated.

The bride, who entered ’on her father’s arm, wore a becoming dress of white brocaded satin, with the usual veil and orange blossoms, and a dainty cap trimmed with pearls. The bridesmaids, Miss May Park (sister of the bride) and Miss Jessie Findlay (sister of the bridegroom) looked charming in Apricot satin, trimmed with gold lace, with hats to match. Two little flower girls (nieces of the bride) made a pretty picture in their apricot satin dresses, with dainty bands on their heads. Mr T. Park (brother of the bride) was best man.

After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Park received their f,guests at, a Morrinsville restaurant G^vhere the wedding breakfast was attended hy some 50 friends and relatives. Mrs Park’s dress was black satin and Mrs Findlay’s navy blue, with which she wore a fawn hat. After the usual toasts .had been honoured the. newly married couple left by car for their honeymoon. The bride's travelling dross was a hydrangea blue ensemble, trimmed with grey fur, and she wore a hat trimmed with a wreath of coloured flowers to match.
