AUCKLAND A. AND P. SHOW
ATTRACTIVE SCHEDULE. The Auckland A. and P. Association has issued its 74th annual schedule, which indicates in a very convincing manner that a new era has dawned for the oldest association in New Zealand. North Island championships have been awarded in dairy cattle, sheep and pig sections, and in addition to the coveted North Island champion ribbon a substantial cash prize goes to ihc North Island champion, in ttic horse section few alterations have been made. The dairy cattle section evinces a delinitc attempt to give recognition to C.0.1t. slock. Greater scope has been afforded the sheep classes, where it is generally admitted there is room for much more support from the breeders. Pigs have been most liberally provided for, and some spirited competition for the North Island championships is likely to eventuate. Air C. W. Anderson offers a 15-guinea challenge trophy for Hie champion North Island Large While boar. The Auckland Kennel Club will hold its annual show in conjunction with the A. and P. Show. The executive are preparing a programme of attractions of a new and novel nature which cannot fail 1o interest. Entries close on November 10.
