RIVER BANK lI¥3PROVEIV2EftTS. ALMA STREET WORK. Work by the relief gang in Alma Street is going on rapidly and that area already bears a transformed appearance as the improvements arc taking shape. During the past few days kerbing and channelling has been in progress and the work on the other side of Hie road will be undertaken when the South British Insurance Company's new building is finished. A start has been made with the construction of the step? leading down io the rivor-path, while the Hamilton Beautifying , Society has planted out over 400 native shrubs
