HYDRO-ELECTRICITY.

POWER FOR RAGLAN. FRANKLIN BOARD'S SCHEME PUKEKOHE, Tuesday. The proposal to reticulate the Raglan County portion of the Franklin Rower Hoard's area was advanced at a meeting of the board to-day, when it was decided to apply for permission to submit a £35,000 loan proposal to the ratepayers. The chairman, Mr J. Dear., said it must be gratifying to the residents of that area to know that, so soon in its operations, the board was able to consider reticulation in thendistrict, .which previously constituted the board's outer area. It was proposed to plan a scheme that would eventually loop round the district, the route to be from Smecd's quarry, through Pukckawa, thence to Onewhero, via the Kauri Road, and thence back down to the Waikato River, and across the river at the island opposite Taukau, to connect with the existing line at the rlaxmill landing. The loop would have a considerable number of branch, lines along byroads.
