COMING OF AGE.

A UOLLY PARTY. On Monday evening last guests to the number of 70 were present at "Kahurangi," the residence of Mr and Mrs T. G. Grigg, Ohaupo Road, to celebrate the corning of age of Mr Eric Grigg. The visitors were received by Mr and Mrs Grigg, and after an enjoyable time spent in dancing and games sat down to an excellent supper. Occupying pride of place on the prettily-decorated supper tables was the beautiful birthday cake, while a portion of the 27-year-old wedding cake of Mr and Mrs Grigg also occupied a prominent position. After the loyal toast, Mr A. Bowie, who officiated as M.C., proposed the health of Mr Eric Grigg. On behalf of the Te Awamutu Presbyterian Bible Class._ the Rev. Mr Buttersworth presented a handsome dressing case to the guest of honour, who suitably replied, thanking all for their presents and good wishes. The usual toasts were musically honoured, and the fun continued until the early hours of the morning . Excellent music was supplied by the Misses Doris and Muriel Thompson and Messrs Bruce Eliot and Pat Paringer. Among those present were Mesdarnes Eliot, North, Bourne, Whyte, Parker, Sutton, G. Redgate, Russell, Blaekhourne, Laurie, Grigg. Lawrence, Perry, Misses Buttersworth, M. North, Bourne (2), Thompson (3), Thomas, Wilson, Lobban, Christie, Mathers, Speake (2), Kindlay (2), Turney (2), Lawrence ,2), Grigg.
