Mr James Macphcrson, .of Tokanui, Kihikihi, has been appointed a justice of the peace. Mr W. J. K. Taylor has been appointed registrar of births, marriages and deaths at Tokaanu. A GrcymouLh message states that Mr M. J. Lythgoe, engineer to the Greymoulh Power Board has forwarded his resignation. Mr O'Loghlen (Auckland), Mr and Mrs F. Tucker (Wellington), and Mr and Mrs W. P. Endean (Auckland), arc at the Hamilton Hotel. Almadate guests include Mr J. Prickard, Misses A. Holly, K. Holly, Mrs W. Holly, ."Mr E. Raughton, (Auckland), and Mr T. Howie (Morrinsvillo). Mr Justice Frazer, President, of the Arbitration Court, and Messrs W. Scott and A. L. Monteith, assessors, arrived at Auckland from Hamilton on Saturday. The Court opened its Auckland sittings this morning. Second-Lieutenant, E. M. Grace, Ist C. Battalion, Waikato Regiment, has been transferred to the Hauraki Regiment. Bandmaster and Hon. Lieutenant H. Gladstone Hill. Ist. Battalion, has resigned his conumA&ion.
