Mishaps to air-liners may be difficult to eliminate wholly, The Safety but this fact does not of vitiate the general Air Travel, truth that travel by air is becoming increasingly safe. In the case of the national British company, Imperial Airways, during the last two years and eight months over 2,000,000 miles have been flown and 38,000 passengers have been carried without a single accident involving any injury to a passenger in that period. This is a fine record proving the excellence of British machines and the extreme care with which they are maintained and navigated. Indeed it is probable that travel by air, especially if British machines and British services are used, is becoming quite as safe as travel by motor car or motor vehicle using the roads.
