OKAUIA.
Social Club. At tne annual meeting Mr H. Mason presided. The club has had a successful year, the credit balance disclosed being £lB 17s Id. Officers for 1927-28 were elected as follows:—President, Mr H. Mason (reelected) ; secretary, Mr C. R. Oliver; treasurer, Mr Frank Underwood; general committee, Mesdames Underwood, Spinlcy, Brindle, W. F. Harding, Miss A. Sutherland and Miss Eaves, Messrs A. Garter, G. Sutherland, J. W. Spinley, A. Story, H. La Trobe and \V. H. Burton; hall committee (re-elected), Messrs Mason, La Trobe, Spinley and Underwood, with power to add; hall trustees, Messrs A. J. Carter, C. Taylor and J. W. Spinley. A sec. Lion for a hall has been presented to the club, and arrangements are nearly finished in connection with the building.
