Mr J. 11. Elliott, who has been visiting U.S.A., returned to Hamilton yesterday.

Mr W. J. Jordan, M.P. for Manukau, left Hamilton for Auckland this afternoon.

Mr Robertson, who had been relieving at Malamata Post Office, has been permanentl y appoin ted.

Mr Walter Nash, secretary of the New Zealand Labour Party, will leave Hamilton to-night for Wellington.

'Dr. R. P. S. Kelman, of Dunedin, has been appointed superintendent of Selby Oak Hospital, Birmingham—London Gable.

Hamilton Hotel guests include Mr Gordon Fraser and Air R. George (New Plymouth), and Major McKenzie (Auckland).

The British Secretary- of Stale for War, Sir Laming Worlhington-Evans, will leave England on November 13 on a visit to India. lie will inspect the British units stationed in that, country and will lie absent until the New Year.
