MINISTERS’ ASSOCIATION.

MONTHLY MEETING. A meeting of the Hamilton Ministers’ Association was held at the Methodist Parsonage, London Street.,, on Monday afternoon. There were present:— Revs. R. Morgan (in the chair), H. L. Fiebig, 8.A., H. G. Gilbert, A. O. Harris, P. Paris, L. Rogers, M.A., and Pastor Salisbury. Apologies for absence were received from Bishop Gherrington and Paster Bycroft. It was reported that all the school committees of the Hamilton district had given their consent to the Bible-in-Schools League to obtain the names of parents and guardians of children attending the schools. These had been forwarded to Auckland, and the plebiscite was already being taken. Rev. H. L. Fiebig read a paper entitled: “The Scope of the Christian Ministry.” This provoked an interesting discussion, during which there arose the question as to whether the Christian Ministry had some responsibility in the matter of directing the thought of the masses to correct dietetics as a prevenient of disease. Thanks were expressed to Mr Fiebig at the close. It was decided to hold the next meeting on, August 29 at the Presbyterian Manse, Frankton Junction. .
