“MUSICAL APPRECIATION.” The second of a series of lectures on “Musical Appreciation” was held at the High School under the auspices of the W.E.A. „ , ... Air E. A. Apthorp dealt fully with the brass and percussion sections of the orchestra, thus completing a general analysis of Hie Symphony Orchestra of to-day. Mr F Mason demonstrated the tone of the individual instruments of the (mass and examples of the orchestration of Wagner, Weber and Debussy were given by gramophone during the lecture. . .. . .
