—9 TE AROHA V. GISBORNE. A telegraphic match with Gisborne Club, 12 boards a-side, was commenced on Saturday evening. At midnight “stumps’ ’ w'erc drawn, when most games appeared even. Board No. 1— Sale (Tc Aroha) v. Stcnhouse —is interesting, the former losing a knight for a pawn, and his position is not safe. Board No. 2 (Kenrick!v. Don) is even. Most of the games are well advanced. The games will be concluded next Saturday. Te Aroha players are Sale, Kenrick, Perrott, Burton, Parke, Wagstaff, Greenslade, Bullen, McLeod, McKay. Burrows and Aiekcc.
